Can you waitlist online if it had to be booked on the phone originally?

I had points transferred into my account and I used the 11 month booking option on those points, which could not be done online as the points don't appear online for me. I do not see a waitlist option but that might just be because I'm outside 7 months. When the 7 month booking window arrives will I see the waitlist option or should I expect to need to do this over the phone also? Thanks.
 
A waitlist with transferred points is a bad idea. You should be able to set up the waitlist online, but I doubt it will work correctly.
 
You should be able to do it online. The way to set up a waitlist is to go as if you are trying to book the room. If it's not available then you will see a link to set up a waitlist. While setting it up you can indicate if you want it to replace a reservation and if so, what resort and dates.

If it's set up correctly and the points will work for both items, it should be fine. Worse case scenario is MS can and will fix it later. The risk is if it's not set up correctly or the points from the reservation where the points are aren't workable for the new option.
