Can you use the pools after the set hours? I've seen slides closed off and lifeguards off duty but do they have a problem with people in the pools after certain hours?

I don't think you are allowed to use the theme pools during closed hours, however I do think you can use the smaller pools that are located in your section of the resort.

Yes, you can use them. We swam at AKL at 10 p.m. two weeks ago.

Yes, with the exception of SAB (which does not operate unguarded) and the quiet pool at BCV is unguarded, but they turn the lights out at a certain time and you are not supposed to swim in the pool after hours.

Just returned from BLT and the guards close and cover the pools but the pool stays open all night. The same with SSR and AKL. Most theme pools will remain open unguarded and cover the slides. If you are not allowed to use them after a certain time, the pool area will be dark or posted as closed.

I have stayed at BCV many times and have never seen the lights shut off at the quiet pool, and commonly see people using the quiet pool and spa well after midnight

Sometimes they will put barricades at the stairs or other entry areas into the pool area or into the pool. That means no entry.

Using the pools and being allowed to use them are 2 different things. If there is a closing time listed, it's inappropriate to use the pools afterwards though it's unlikely they'll say anything (or even know) if you aren't too late and/or overly loud.

The OKW pools are open from 10:00am till 10:00pm. There are no lifeguards except at the main pool while the slide is open - so parents must accompany children.

When we stayed at Kidani in July we were told the pool is open for use 24 hours a day. The slide closes when the lifeguards go off duty (around 10:00) but the pool was open for the rest of the time. We were told each resort is different and that Kidani's pool can stay open 24 hours a day because it is further away from the rooms and noise would not effect guests in their rooms.

Yes, I think each resort it different and you will have to ask wherever you are staying. AKL in May was open 24 hours and I was surprised. I didn't remember ever having that at any Disney resort.
