Can you use other discounts with a PIN?

If you are fortunate enough to get a PIN, say 20 30 40, and then Disney releases free dining, would you be allowed to use the pin and free dining, since the pin isn't a general public offer? (do you love how I havent even gotten a pin and they havent even offered free dining, yet Im still being greedy with offers that arent even out there?? lol)

No...only one discount is allowed regardless of what it is or how you got it.

In general, free dining is a better deal if you stay at a value resort. Again in general, the % discounts are better at the deluxe resorts.

what about with mods? Is that just dependent on the particulars of the trip? We're doing 6 nights in Oct at a mod....

No you can't have both no matter where you stay. It called double dipping & Disney doesn't allow this If you stay at a value then FD is a better value but if you get a 40% off it usually better to stay at a deluxe. MHO

Right it depends on how many people...adults...kids..room views. Things like that. No matter what you have to price it all out to see what is the better deal. For some people it doesn't come down to money. They prefer to have a hotel upgrade that a % deal would allow. For others they prefer to have meals inlcuded.

We have 5 kids, so we're booked in two rooms at a mod. resort. I got a 30% room pin code, which saved us nearly $1000. I'll have to do the math to see if free dining would save us that much.

No, I tried. I received my PIN code today, but I already had the free Quick Service Dining pin applied. The nice person at Disney ran them both and the free dining plan was cheaper.
