can you use dvc dining discount on new years day?

According to the current portable perks it doesn't exclude new years day. Anyone know when the new portable perks for 2014 will be available? Has anyone been successful in using the dvc discount on new years day?

New Year's Day is a block out date for TiW, I would suspect that all discounts are blocked that day.

i was blocked on Thanksgiving one year at Boma's with 14 people....but i knew that from before.....

It never hurts to ask. We once received a TIW discount on a black out date so it can happen.
