Can you use Disney rewards for gratuity?

We will be in Disney 2 weeks from tomorrow
We are on the free dining plan. Was just curious as to leaving the gratuitiy.
Can we use Disney rewards? I think in the past we were even able to charge it back to the room? or is cash preferable?
