Can you use a photo ID in lieu of a finger scan?

Totally random question and apologize if this has been discussed previously but I find the finger scan to be completely unsanitary and germ spreading, especially with the reported recent addition of children under 10 to the system - can I refuse the finger scan on those grounds and instead provide a photo identification?

disregard I found the answer in the official privacy policy - answer is yes you can do this :)

Guests touch lots of surfaces in WDW. Frequent hand washing is probably a good idea regardless of whether you opt out of the finger scan.

My wife and I always have a small puddle of germ-X in our palm as we go through the entrance.

If you're planning to touch ride vehicles, door handles, bathroom stall locks, chairs at restaurants, etc., then I wouldn't worry too much about the finger scan. I take hand sanitizer everywhere and use liberally, especially before eating.

Heck I live dangerously and scan and just keep going, I wash my hands after the bathroom and before I eat and that's it. I would most likely end up with some sort of skin condition from using the sanitizer or constant washing if I washed them every time I touched something.

Yea, we just use hand sanitizer a lot. The finger scan is just the beginning. My fav is the people who open sneeze and cough - so disgusting! Be sure to clean your phone as well, from one germaphobe to another :upsidedow

My kids have licked more handrails in Disney than I'd like to think about.
This is the funniest thing I've read in a while.

A body anybody's body (see what I did there?) needs germs to survive. If you knew what were in your eyelids and what the "sleepers" were, it would just drive you crazy.

4 year old grand daughter did not do finger scan last week

You're more likely to get a cold the way I just did, by your seat mate on Everest coughing his lungs up throughout the ride, than you are from the finger scan. Every Disney park everywhere has germ-covered little hands touching anything and everything all day long. Avoiding the finger scan will solve NONE of your germ problems. Bring hand sanitizer.
