Obviously, you can use an AP discount on a ticketless AP + dining package.

But would you would be able to apply a GP discount (instead of an AP discount) to this type of a package (for instance, where a GP discount is better than the AP discount for the particular resort or room class on your desired dates - this often is the case, for example, I believe the current late summer GP discount for the Poly is better than the current AP discount for the same time period)?

I don't believe that you can. What you can do though (and more likely will save money doing) is book the GP discount and purchase TiW instead of paying for a dining plan.

I was going to say no, but I'm really not sure. I have NEVER seen a GP rate better than an AP rate, though. The only rates that I know of that are better than AP rates are the Military discounts and they are inline with what we used to get as AP holders.

AP rates are often very limitted in their availability for various room categories at various resorts so if you're set on staying at a certain resort and category then a GP rate that's got availability is better than an AP rate where there is no availability as the former means getting a discount while the latter means rack rate.
