Hi! DH and I are thinking about getting APs again. In the past we had premium. We are thinking of just getting deluxe this time and doing the monthly payment plan. Our question is, if we ever needed to, could we upgrade to a premium pass if we are on the monthly payment plan? We just want to make sure all of our options are open. TIA! :goodvibes

We did this a few years ago, so not entirely current info. Yes, you can. You keep paying the same monthly payments, they don't change your financing contract, and you pay the upgrade cost in cash when you do the upgrade. That's how ours went anyway.

Awesome! Thank you!

If we buy them online with an e-ticket, how does it work at the gates? Or do we have to go to a ticket booth for an AP? Last time we got them they were still taking your photo at the processing center and I know they aren't doing that anymore.

Two Options:

  1. Go directly to a ticket booth on the esplanade to exchange your e-ticket for your AP. Later in the day, have your picture taken by any PhotoPass photographer or at either of the photo shops and it will automatically be added to your AP record.
  2. Take the e-ticket to the main gate of either park. They'll give you a paper ticket to enter the park immediately. Later in the day you will have to go to a ticket booth and follow the steps above.

mikedoyleblogger, thank you! I really appreciate it =) We won't be getting in until late Friday night (after 9pm) and I doubt the ticket booths would be open. Option #2 is fantastic, as we won't want to loose precious time at rope drop. Yay!

An update to this, a couple weeks ago I got my DGD 3 her first pass, the CM / ticket taker took her AP photo right at the turnstile when we entered. She used her hand held device to do this and explained to us we would not have to hunt down a photographer. We had already got her permenant pass at the ticket booth.

The ticket booths are open as late as the parks are open I think. I know we've left at 11 or so and have seen people lined up at them. If it's not too far you could swing by when you get in and check so you're ready for the next day.

Ticket booths are open until park closing, and they open in the morning an hour before opening. You can upgrade hoppers to the Deluxe or Premium AP and then if you decide to upgrade to the Premium you can pay the full difference at the time of upgrade and continue with the payment plan that is already in place. Enjoy!

This is correct information. You pay the difference at the time of upgrade. Your monthly payments remain the same. Not 100% sure if that is valid if you upgrade to premier, but it is for premium

Awesome, thanks! We don't plan on going to FL for a couple of years until the kids are older and we no longer have a stroller. ;)
