Can you upgrade a hopper pass to an AP?

We just recently came home from DL & are planning to go back in the Fall & also maybe in the Spring. Has anyone had any experiences with upgrading a park hopper (ours was a 5 day) to an Annual Pass? Do you just pay the difference between the two passes?

It is very easy to update a hopper pass to an AP, however, I do believe you must do this while parkhopper is still active. You could have upgraded your hopper pass on or before your fifth day of use. This is done by going to the bank on Mainstreet, and paying the difference between the amount of your parkhopper and the AP you are purchasing.

I have read that a lot on this board, but I called DL and CM told me that they would apply the amount of "unused days" toward the AP. Was she wrong? did I get the wrong CM on the phone. She said with a five day hopper I would be able to apply four days if I bought it on the first day. Please Help......

We upgraded our kids' 8 day hopper in Feb on the 7th day and got the full value of what we paid applied towards the AP. My memory isn't so great, but i think we paid $50 per kid to upgrade to a Deluxe AP. I think the cm gave you the wrong info.

We recently upgraded our 4 day park hopper (we were in the park all 4 days and upgraded our last day before we left) to an AP. I also think it was pretty reasonable to do..$50 sounds about right for the kids.

BJSMOM- I also think you got wrong information because I believe that when we went in to upgrade to AP they told us to make sure we get the upgrade on our LAST day so we could take full advantage of our park hopper.

NATSPRAT04- I'm not sure how it works if you've already left the park if you would be able to upgrade your park hopper to an AP.

I have contacted DL Guest Relations & they emailed me back saying they would be able to help me out further with an upgrade from my used 5 day park hopper. I am still waiting a call back... so I'm hoping that we can upgrade. Keep your fingers crossed for me...

I talked to the AP people in the bank in Main Street & they advised me that you could get the upgrade as long as you contact them within 30 days from the last day used. I don't know if this is true since I haven't heard anyone here talk about this. Am I keeping my hopes too high?
