Can you transfer a dummy cruise to someone else?

I think I have seen this asked before, but I wasn't interested in doing it at the time so didn't pay attention to the answer. I've tried searching for a thread, but I guess my search terms are too broad.

I booked 4 dummy cruises on my last cruise (got a little carried away!). I have rebooked them, but I don't think I will need more than one before I go on my next cruise - certainly not two. I have some friends who are considering taking their family on their first Disney cruise. Is there anyway I can give them one of my dummies? I thought maybe I could book it in my name and three of their names, then call back and take out my name and book it all in theirs. I seem to remember one person has to be the same, but not sure if that is from beginning to end, or just each time you change the cruise.

I do not know the answer to this, but I am also curious. If I remember correctly (from what I have read here, you will need to call back multiple times to do this. I think you need to replace one of your guests first with the person who will be the new lead person. Then call back another time and change them to the lead person instead of you...whether you'll need to call back again to actually remove or replace yourself on the reservation at that point I'm not sure. Hope it works out for your friends!

I'll be watching this post myself. I'm sailing soon and plan on making another couple dummy reservations myself and would like to know the answer to this as well.

I believe that by changing the lead person on the reservation results in a cancellation of the reservation. I don't think they can be transferred to someone else and keep the discounts.

You can't replace all the names, even if you do them one at a time. Unless one original Guest is on the reservation it is a cancellation and rebook and they won't get the discount or OBC. This is DCL's policy. If you are booking dummy cruises onboard then you CAN book for friends and family but only if they are sailing on the same date as you are. HTH.
