Hi- I have only been to DL once, last Nov around the 14 NOV.. I LOVED the Haunted Mansion as the Nightmare before Christmas.. It was so cool.. Also, the rest of the decorations were up as well although I think the official holiday opening wasnt for a week or so more... My kids will LOVE this version of HM and I was thinking of just taking them out of school one day midweek for a special excursion.

According to the disneyland site (under special occasions, I think) they should be having the nightmare decorations up again this year. And it sounds like a good time to take your kids for a midweek visit.
