Hello,

After talking with my husband about the upcoming more-than-likely rumor of DCL coming out west for next summer, we've decided to book a cruise. This will be our very first cruise! I've been hesitant about trying crusing and knew that if I was ever going to try it, it would have to be with Disney.

So my question is....
Are all verandahs plexiglassed?

I'm trying to figure out what the differences between Category 5, 6, & 7 are. I know the navigator verandahs look like they are more closed in. But if anyone could help describe the differences better, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Best thing to do is check out Barb & Tony's site at www.castawayclub.com They have pictures of the differences.

The 7's are the Navigators and they are more enclosed (but still with an opening).

The 5's & 6's are the same and MOST are plexiglass. The ones in the aft of the ship have a solid metal bottom.

Cat 7 will not hold 4 people including the "secret verandah" rooms that were catagory 5 and 6 and were "downgraded to cat 7

Dave;s site lists which verandahs are solid metal and which are not, as well as the recategorized rooms

Enjoy!

You have to get one. It is so worth it. You will love it. 5 and 6 are primarily the same just different decks. 6 is cheaper and some only sleep 3. Get a 6 and save some money for the same room. Have fun!
