Can you substitute the dessert for an appetizer?

Just wondering if it is possible to sub. your dessert for an appetizer of comparable price. Anyone ever tried (i'm sure someone has) or put your 2 desserts together for 1 app? we just arent big dessert people.

They do not allow it. You'll have to pay out of pocket for appetizers.

This is a common question on these boards.

The answer is no. Disney will not allow this type of substitution even due to medical reasons (aka diabetics). We have had CMs state that if they allowed this that they would be fired. There is no flexibility in this situation.
