We were on dining plan in 2005 and we used one counter service for breakfast and got our entree and were able to get fruit or danish for dessert. We were easily able to share and save the other CS for lunch. This worked very well with our dd's. Can we still get dessert for breakfast?
Our CS breakfast will be at Saratoga Springs.

This is what I read on allearsnet.com

-- One table-service meal (including appetizer, entree, dessert, or full buffet, non-alcoholic beverage, and gratuity/service charge; dessert not available at breakfast)

From the Dining Plan FAQ:
Your Counter Service (or Quick Service) Meal includes one single serving:

Breakfast: Entrée, Non-alcoholic beverage
Lunch: Entrée, Dessert, Non-alcoholic beverage
Dinner: Entrée, Dessert, Non-alcoholic beverage

OR

Breakfast: one Combo Meal, Non-alcoholic beverage
Lunch: one Combo Meal, Dessert, Non-alcoholic beverage
Dinner: one Combo Meal, Dessert, Non-alcoholic beverage
Dessert is not included with breakfast.

I read that too...but I think that's what it said in 2005 too. However the first time I got breakfast at the POP the CM told me I could get a dessert so I did. It worked very well. And since breakfast usually cost less than lunch I am surprised they would offer dessert for one meal and not the other. :confused3 Alot of people eat pasteries or fruit with there breakfast.
Oh well...I think we are going to skip the DP this time.

You must have been very lucky then. :thumbsup2

Maybe when you got the fruit or danish with your breakfast the CM was considering it a combo? I know a lot of people have said their CS breakfast at Main Street Bakery was one savory pastry, one sweet pastry, and a beverage. If we are hungry for breakfast (most times we want something light, we just need our COFFEE :coffee:), we thought we'd try splitting a CS breakfast with an extra coffee -- and if it isn't quite enough to share, we could get a pastry or fruit cup with a snack credit and share that, too. Ah, sharing feels so good... :goodvibes

At the Poly they were not letting anyone get a dessert with their breakfast in October. I only know this because they put a small sign up at the register stating such. I imagine some folks had questioned it so they put a sign up stating the rules.
