Can you sing well?

That would be funny if a man was singing bass in one measure, and soprano in the next. :rotfl:

Hahah yes....very funny.
I am starting piano lessons soon. Since I want to teach chorus it's something I need to know how to do. So it'll be 1/2 hour private voice 1/2 hour private piano....I am nervous about the piano. Does anyone play (and started at an older age...like 16?) any tips would be AWESOME. Thanks!

I can sing. And it's practically my life. XD. Musical Theatre all the way! lol

Anywho, I'm a soprano 1, and I can comfortably hit a High C (which is 2 C's about middle... it's HIGH. lol) I can also get down to an Ab below middle C, but low notes are not my comfort zone.

My absolute favorite song to sing is "Think of Me" from Phantom of the Opera. I LOVE the high Bb at the end. :)

I can hit a high F sharp. I did it today in class with some of the other sopranos and Mr. Martin,my chours director, just stared at us. Then, he was like "most people can't hit that note."

I mean you can develop it...to a point. Like a bass can't become a soprano. But an alto could probably work on their range and get into a low soprano range. It's a few note difference when developing nothing drastic. It's all about control over your voice.

Actually, my friend is an Alto 2, lowest female voice, and she can sing soprano 1. She has an amazing range!

Very cool! We've done songs with that note in it. I feel like Sopranos and Bass parts get the most 'shock ratings' like people are shocked at how high the sopranos can go and how low the bass can go. Just my opinion. :confused3

i used to lead sing for 3 bands at one time. i also played the lead guitar in 2 of them.

i won alotta competitions too.

people i say i have an "exoctic" voice or w.e that means...haha. but yeahh. i can sing pretty good.

I've been taking piano lessons on and off for a pretty long time, but it's really hard to find time to practice with all my h/w and such. Ummm...I would suggest setting aside a specific time everyday to just sit down and practice scales and songs. Ask if you can learn pieces (or genres, such as rags or classical) that you like. I know that that motivates me to practice more if I like the song as opposed to if I don't really like it. If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ask or PM me! :goodvibes

I am an ok singer...but one of the things i hate the most is singing in front of other people. My high school had a play and I wanted to try out for a dance part...and I couldn't try out to be a dancer UNLESS I did a vocal audition. So...I didn't try out. That's how much I hate singing - I gave up dancing.

Yea...shows my cough cough - passion - for singing!! LOLOLOL!!!!
