Can you sing well?

This was inspired by my science class the other day. In that class everyone usually ends up standing around my table and talking, and one of my friends, Kyle, was standing next to me. This commercial came on, and kyle started singing along to it. He is an amazing singer. So it made me wonder, how many people can really sing well?

I'm okay with music, but with an accent, I pronouce words differently, so sometimes it doesn't sound as nice as it could. Without music I suck. So can you sing?

I think everyone can sing, but few can sing really well. I think I'm horrible, but my friends beg to differ. They think I sound like Idina Menzel as Elphaba from Wicked.

I sing better if I'm singing along with something or singing with someone. But some songs I just can't sing, and some I'm great at.

Same with me. Somedays I'll be really good, but then the next day my voice would just be blah and out of pitch. I can not sing acapella alone...I'd need someone with me or music ::yes::

yeaa.. that's pretty much what i was going to say.
and i am an alto so i can't do really high notes.

i've been told i can sing and my freind has been getting voice lessons since she was 5 so shes gona help me sing the correct way (like controll my voice and breath the correct way while singing)

I'm good. My family's got this whole choir legacy going on at our school and we have one of the best choirs in the state(we have the awards to back that up) so really the pressure is tripled for me to be good. I have my off-days but over all I'd say I have a pretty good voice.

Not really. xD I like to sing, but I only sing WITH people. Like during church, or with my sisters.

I guess you could say I'm good at singing. I love doing it, and I'm in both choirs at school. I've been taking voice lessons for abour two years.

Singing is my passion. People have said that I but good. I am in theater group and I do like five musicals a year. Once I was Peter Pan (hence my name) and another time I was Sally from You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. I have won some awards at competitions and have been taking lessons since I was seven. Right now I am working on a piece for my audition for all state chorus. In GA to get in you have to be a really good sight reader so I am working on that.

Cool I have been told that I sound like Kristen. We can take over the parts together! Who can say if I've been changed for the better.....

I hate hate hate when people think they can sing but they can't. I find it very annoying.

Like my room mate at camp. Gosh it was ssoooooo annoying.

I'm planning on going to school for vocal performance! :teeth: I've always loved to sing - it's in my blood! Seriously, it's practically genetically predetermined as a woman in my family you have to love to sing :) .. I've taken lessons for five years.. Besides my college audition stuff, I'm working on a song for County and District chorus auditions - if I make Districts again this year I could go on to Regionals and eventually States(in Hershey, PA! :teeth: I'm *hoping* this will finally be my year to make it!)

Good luck with your all state audition PeterPan#1Fan! :) And to anyone else who has any auditions coming up!

Amen to that! But anyways, I guess I can sing. I mean, I've been cast in two great leading roles back to back, so unless they casted me as a joke, I think I have a good voice. (I really hope it's not a joke!) Although I'm not good like 'can audition for things outside of a little theater company' good, but just...pretty good. I can't do an all out belt, I'm better with either pretty darn soprano, or really low notes. Weird, huh? :)
