Just came back and had deluxe dinning plan and it was way tooooo much food for us. The portions at Disney are so large. That got me wondering..... Can you share on the Disney dining. Please share comments, no, and experiences....

What do you mean by share?

With people not on the dining plan-no.

With people in your party-most likely yes but you would then end up with credits to use somewhere else and have even more food.

Well we were looking to go for the step down in dining and maybe share a meal or two so we could have a signature dining experience. I meant sharing between two people on the plan.

DH and I shared the fried chicken at 50's while on the dining plan.

Yes, you can share on the DDP. We have done it many times when using the standard DDP. Even at a few Signature ones. There may be a few that don't allow it (I've read that Flying Fish many not). But we didn't run across one that didn't allow it. And we've done it since the first year the DDP started (2005).

We find that what works best for us when on a DDP is to eat like we normally do-and that means sharing meals a lot of times.

Hope this helps. :goodvibes

In most cases you can share with others who are on your dining plan. You cannot share at buffets, all you care to eat family style meals, platters such as at WCC or dinner shows - at all of these you will each be charged. Other than that the only time we could not share was the individual pizza at Via Napoli.
