Can you see the parade from Tony's Town Square?

I kind of remember seeing something about there being a patio or something that you could have lunch at Tony's Town Square and still be able to see the afternoon parade? Is this true?

Also, can you see a lot or will there be mostly a lot of heads?

I should probably state that this will be our only time to see the Share a Dream Come True parade. We don't need GREAT seats, but we want to be able to see most things.

Is the patio something you need to request in advance or is it luck of the draw? We wouldn't want to get there and not be able to get the patio.

Can anyone help me out? What's your experience / opinion? Thanks in advance!

Can you see the parade from Tony's Town Square?

You would need x-ray vision. The prime viewing area for part of the parade is right in front of the view of the parade from Tony's.

Really!! You cant see from the patio.....

I am only saying (well typing) this because when I made our ADR for Tony's the CM I spoke to ASKED me if I wanted an outdoor table in order to see the parade because, if I did, I would need to mention it at the podium when we checked in. I specifically asked her about it as I really had never read that you could see the parade from there.....she said yes you can see it!! I said, really? and people dont stand up in front of you? and she said that our view would not be blocked as the patio is higher than the street.

I tend to doubt this information as I know how people get when watching the parade (and preferred air conditioning anyway).

Maybe the restaurant took over some of what was previously public space.
