Can you rent camcorders

We are needing to get a new camcorder but don't really want the added expense this close to our trip. In the passporter I read you can rent them on the ship. Any idea where I can get further info??? Or does anyone know what the cost would be???

good to see you're still planning a Disney cruise !! I've never rented a camcorder...but I have also heard of a new "disposable" camcorder you can buy at about any drug store that you can record about 20-30 min. of video and cost like $30..this may be something to consider? take care and enjoy your cruise!!!

MY LOCAL CVS (drugstore) has that disposable camcorder on sale now...
Regular price 29.99...you get a 10.00 extra bucks 2 days after purchase..so basically 19.99

has 20 minutes of video/audio...no zoom, etc..you can delete parts...then it's 12.99 to burn onto cd..

I bought one..figure'd i'd film 20 minutes during our stay and send a copy to every member of our disney group as a momento...

If you have a local RentACenter you can rent them there. I checked into it for our January cruise but I don't recall how much it was going to cost for a week - seems like it was around $60-$70. We decided to bring ours instead but foolish me...I didn't bring the charger thinking the battery would be fine for a week but I discovered after we were on the ship that I forgot to charge the battery before we left so we had no camcorder to use but fortunately we had the digital camera with us also. That battery was fully charged but it died when we got back into Miami so in the future I'll make sure I always pack the battery chargers (I was trying to save space...probably for more shoes than I needed!!)
