Can you relate....?

Hello all....on May 8th my DW and I will be enbarking on our 6th Disney cruise.....3 of them last year.....2 - 7 days and a 3 day...just put the finishing touches on the planning with booking our air for that Saturday morning out of JFK....but my wife constantly tells me to stop rushing it....I started counting down from like 17 weeks out....and now it is down to 7 weeks....short ones at that....but I am constantly saying to her....in 8 weeks we will be in Key west right now....or in 7 weeks we will be on the plane flying to our Magical cruise....and as much as I know she is right.....I continue to do it....I have always said the planning is almost better than the vacation....not true of course....but it some times feels that way....I know the I have rambled on and on but can some of you guys relate? I hope so.......DCL is almost like a drug......just love it!

I can relate and have never even been! We have been to WDW several times in the last 5 years and I have done the same way with those trips. I am already trying to talk my husband into booking while onboard a second Disney Cruise(hopefully the Magic for 12/05)!!!We shall see!!! I have been reading the DIS boards for a few months now and learned so much! I even write notes! Am I crazy or what! So, you see, you are not alone!

Wait until you start stacking multiple cruises in the same year so you can spend ALL your time planning !

When we reach the 'half-year' mark, we're both saying, 'just think, in less than 6 months we'll be snorkeling in St Thomas, or 'dining at Palo's,' etc.

It's so nonstop cruise talk between DH and I, our 9 year-old DD sometimes rolls her eyes! (Who are the kids here?)

I'm just so glad there are these boards, so we 'can relate' to other DCL junkies!

We haven't been yet, but last week was our 1 year away date. All last week I kept saying in 1 year today we will be getting on the ship, be in Key West, At sea, etc..... I drove my family crazy - they don't understand my excitement!!! I can't wait!!!

22 weeks from today, we will be on the high seas, heading to St. Thomas, San Juan, and Castaway Cay, no I can't relate at all Tom!!! LOL!!!

yes I can relate!!!!!!!! I have read my passporter book at least 10 times and hilighted the parts I want to do for sure. I have talked non stop about it, looked at everyone's pictures on the net, read all the web pages (Like Verandaman's) (cried when I read Veradaboy's story) and have already been checking ebay for formal wear. Not to mention spending at least an hour a day checking this web site and passporters for any new posts. All I can say is that I will be well versed in things to do and not to do on our Western Cruise. just a little bit obsessed but that is alright I do this kind of thing for every vacation and my family really appreciates it when it comes around because we know the best way around things thanks to all the advice from the boards.

I can definitely relate!!! I start planning sometimes a year ahead, and I have so much fun with it!! It gives me something to look forward to, especially during the long winter months here in Northern Michigan!!

I can toataly relate! I did this to my dh before our cruise and I think I started to get on his nerves, he would just say, "tell me when to be on the ship and i'll be there." I love all the planning, I feel like i'm getting more for my money this way, being so excited even way before the cruise.

I can relate..so much so that my family called me the "Disney Crack Ho" because I was continually needing my Dis board fix! WHen we planned this cruise coming up we had 215 days to go and now we are down into the 30's and I'm excited about going but dreading that I wont have a trip to think about for at least another 6 months

Well last Sept/Oct every Saturday morning I would pull up the port cam, call in the kids and say "in X number of weeks, it'll be OUR turn to get on the Mickey boat".

We even called our friends in Tampa who were going with us when it was "NEXT WEEK" and made them look too!

Planning *is* a lot of the fun!

my family goes nuts with me going over "the trip" which is my main topic daily. sometimes they'll induldge me hoping i'll run out of steam but i just keep on going like that pink bunny. i love the planing and replaning and figuring out where we'll be on which day. only 8 more eastern's till its our turn and 100 days till we head down to port orleans riverside. tommorrow we'll be in double didgets, wahoooo.

I can relate as well - except that I say that it is 25 weeks from Saturday until we board and then think that in 26 weeks we will be getting off. Planning is so much fun - and I do try and focus on the good part.

My family thinks I am nuts too!

We waited just about a year for our first cruise and I thought my kids would kill me if they had to listen to me for one more day. Look at my countdown now! Ahhhh! 2 years to bug them and keep reading the Disboards!

I sure can relate!!! DW DD6 and I wil be on the sept, 25th magic. our first cruise!!! and i am soo excited this is alot of what i want to talk about ,you know that feeling when all the planing needs to be done checking and re checking. well my DW is soo opposite she doesnt want to hear about any of this trip she just wants to "show up" she doesnt even want to look at any brochures cause then she said she will know what to expect,does not even want to talk about the cruise she says its 6 months away why to we need to decide on things now ,but im soo excited that i just want to share this with her and get her feed back, she really dosent want anything to do with it at this point, so thats why i turn to these boards to share the magic with other DISers

How pathetic are we????
We have been on 2 DCL cruises and decided to take a break this and go to Hawaii instead....well now all of us talk more about our next DCL cruise, which is still over a year away, than we do about Hawaii, which is in 3 1/2 weeks!!

Y'all aren't pathetic - walking to school today with my dd6 - we talked about how last week at this time she was swimming in the mickey pool..., yesterday we talked about the character breakfast...sigh... Now, that is worse...
