I'd like to take my teenage son to see the HP expansion, and I'm ready to start making some reservations. My spontaneous side says 'go for it!' but my practical side says 'what if there is a delay, and it hasn't opened yet?'
I'm traveling across the country, so we need to make this trip magical....
What do you think.... will the Hogwarts Express DEFINITELY be running by Sept 2014?

There's no way of knowing for sure - they haven't announced an opening time yet. Lots of people are assuming summer but they could always go with fall. Plus construction delays or potential hurricane damage later on this summer/fall could mess things up as well. It's better to wait until the official announced date unless you're a local and can easily come again.

I'd say go for it! My guess..(and it's just that..a guess!)...It probably will be very close to that time frame.
Make some reservations soon, but make sure you verify cancellation polices!
You can always change, modify, cancel...etc...as info come out. They won't give an "exact" date until they are MUCH closer to finished.
Also, if you are gonna inform your son that y'all are gonna try to go, explain the variables at work there!-(as if we aren't stressed out enuff!)

What kind of reservations are you thinking of making this early? Don't book any packages because of the cancellation fees. There really isn't any need to be booking anything for September 2014 yet.

2nd..No need this early and i wouldn't do a pkg just yet..OP there is NO way to know for sure..there could be delays or any number of things that could push it to the end of the year.I would wait a little longer
