Can you really wear CROCS all day long at Disney ??

I love my Crocs and packed some on my last trip to WDW...however, I was chicken to try them as I went with a "commando-type" friend. I put them on the last day I was there and....they were WONDERFUL! So cushy to stand in line in them, and I never got tired of walking that day. I will definitely wear them next time.

I plan on wearing my crocs and bringing a pair of sneakers just in case. I will also bring little footie socks in my bag in case I feel I need to put them on.

I wore crocs exclusively all last summer to many theme parks and places where I had to walk all day, and I never got a blister. They felt like slippers. I always get pains in my feet when I walk too much, but not with the crocs. I'm taking the extra shoes just to be on the safe side because I don't want my Disney vacation ruined by unhappy feet.

I read on another post somewhere that the crocs are very dangerous to where in wet weather. I am wondering if you are wearing crocs and get caught in the rain or they get wet on a ride, is this dangerous. Has anyone ever slipped or had an accident because of this?

I was thinking of getting a pair until I heard this.

If you get Crocs and wear the treads off the bottom (wear them out over about a year or so of walking on pavement), I can see how they would be slippery. But ANY shoes that are worn on the bottom can be slippery. I wouldn't worry about it- I have worn Crocs in rainy weather many times (and I'm a klutz:crazy: ) and never had a slippage issue.

Now, escalaters are worrisome- DD nearly had her toenail ripped off when her Croc got caught in the gap between the moving stair and the stationary edge of the handrail wall. We have to be really careful now- feet right in the center of the step. etc.

I think my crocs are wonderful. I wear them with and without socks with no problems, no feet sweat, and no blisters. Maybe some of you are having problems and blisters because you are buying the off brands. This really makes a difference. With the real Crocs, the tread has not worn off the bottom of mine and I have had them for 2 years and wear them constantly. I bought my son some cheapo Target ones and they did not last the summer. Now his has the real ones and so far so good!!!

I wore my new croc cleos throo all the parks for a week. No problems with my back which is a plain miracle:cool1:

joining the croc wearers dance:banana: we all wore them for 2 weeks in the world,no blisters,no sore feet, just happy people on vacation! (the REAL crocs) we all wear them ALL the time! Now with the Disney jibbitz...I'm even happier!

joining everyone else that i LOVE  crocs. however they only ones I can wear in disney are the sandal or flip flop styles because the mj's or regular ones make my feet sweat if I don't have socks on and won't wear them with shorts. but all day every day i wore my athens. like walking on a cloud. :cloud9: i just purchased the new capri and sassari yesterday and can't wait to get them in. i hope they are just as comfortable as my athens. just fyi...if you guys are looking for crocs I purchased mine from www.surfanddirt.com the prices are the same as the crocs site and there is FREE shipping. can't beat that right? just thought i'd let y'all know! :thumbsup2

I have two pairs of the Mary Jane style crocs and I wear them everyday as a tour guide (6+miles a day) with and without socks and they are great! I have severe arthritis in my feet and these are more comfy than my sneakers as my foot "floats" in them and I don't feel so confined. Never had a problem with foot sweat or slipping, and I wear them in water often too.

I just bought a pair of the Disney crocs at MK last week and wore them for two days in a row (no socks). The first day they were so comfortable, like walking on air, but by the second day I had developed blisters on the tops of my feet where the crocs rubbed on them. I then switched to sneakers for a couple of days, and when the blisters healed I was back in crocs with low cut socks. It actually made them fit better since they're pretty wide.

I wore my Crocs with VERY low half socks our entire last trip. I also used Body Glide on my feet (seriosly, it works wonders). The only time I took off my socks was to ride Kali River Rapids (wet socks = no fun). Crocs with socks!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !!! However, I will be the first one to admit that the look might not have been the most fashionable one I ever sported! ;) :rotfl: BUT...it was the most comfortable!!:woohoo:

You might try Body GLide. Runners and Dancers use it to prevent blisters. I tried it this last trip and loved it.

Last trip the day before we left my heal started acting up and it was really hurting! I had brought 3 different pair of birks to wear as I wear birks all the time year round. The pain in my heal changed the way I walked so I got some big time blisters on the bottom of my foot it hurt to walk and my back was killing me too. My son had brought his crocs so I wore them thinking they were so cushioned, they saved the trip and my feet! I wore them with footies and by the end of the trip my feet did not hurt at all and I could actually walk and no more hobbling!
I am looking at some of the new styles like a sandel since the closed toe ones make my feet HOT!
I will still bring my Birks but I think crocs will be worn mostly in the parks...

In the mornings when we are "running" around the World, I used my walking shoes. In the evenings when we were leisurely walking, I wore my Crocs.

I had a similar problem as one person here with blisters caused by the Crocs rubbing on the top of my foot. I think it might have been a "fluke" pair. I had 2 other pairs of Crocs in the same style and size and they didn't give me problems, but this pair rubbed the tops of my feet and gave me serious blisters.

I got rid of those and bought a pair of Disney Crocs - no problems with those!

I had questioned the whole Croc thing too. Wearing a loose fitting floppy clogs just goes against everything you ever hear about wearing shoes for something like park commando missions. I've owned a pair for a while but just for around home, more of a slipper.

What really got me to try them though was reading about the guy that ran TWO MARATHONS in a pair of Crocs. Thats 26 miles, twice!!!:scared: That doesn't count the amount of training he did prior to the race. So I figured that if this guy could run hundreds of miles in a pair of Crocs, maybe I could at least try them out for a day. So on a recent quick weekend trip down I took mine. It was a little cool so I wore footie type socks and we were there from rope drop at MK, several laps around the park, back to the monorail and to Epcot, 2 laps of FW and then 1 1/2 around WS, left after dinner in Morocco, then 2 more laps around MK and left the park at 10:30 that night. They were great, no issues at all. It was almost like you forgot they were there.

This was sort of a trial run for our whole family trip in June. We usually get rained on at least once so I'll try them without socks and I hope they do just as well. But this will be for a week in the parks this trip.

I can't wear Crocs they feel very uncomfortable when I wear them. I usually wear sneakers or flat sandals. But everyone is different. Some can wear them some can't lol. But its up to you. If you feel comfortable you can but if not dont. :)
