It isn't true. Everyone that can read reads that paragraph.

DD is dyslexic and I just had her try. She can't read it. I can read it though without a problem.

I can read it too. I guess that's how I can read 4 books in a week. I really don't read every word. I mostly just scan. If it's a long paragraph, I don't read it. I think that's why I can't read books where you HAVE to read every word. Like manuals or text books. I get too bored!

Yup.. So either I'm strange - or all those years of doing those puzzles where you have to unscramble the words have paid off.. LOL I LOVE those puzzles - can knock them out in no time flat.. But then again, I'm a "word" lover anyhow.. Often read the dictionary just for "fun"..

Yup, I read that just as fast as I would have read the correct words! I read a lot, so I'm not surprised.

C.Ann - My MIL loves those puzzles too and plays Text Twist. You can search it on google and do a trial to decide if you like it enough to buy. She is addicted to it.

The first time I saw something like this I was amazed. I had no idea it would be that easy to read a paragraph with every single word misspelled.

So how come it's so hard to read my dh's notes? He only misspells every other word, lol!

I would venture to guess that the vast majority of people with at least average intelligence or reading ability would be able to read that. I think the 50% is not true. It'll be interesting to see if anyone posts that they could NOT read it. (I guess I should now read through the entire thread)
