Can you reactivate a refillable mug?

We purchased 2 of the Metal Star Wars refillable mugs on our last trip and want to get the unlimited soda for upcoming trip. We paid $30 for the cup in the soda and I was wondering if we brought our cups back, Could they reactivate them and save us the $10? Or should we just buy buy a new mug?

I don't think you can. But it would be pretty awesome and less wasteful if you could. Legoland and Universal has reactivatable cups, so I feel like the technology is there.

Mugs are only usable for a specific time frame.

I'm reasonably certain they could reactivate a cup. All they do is authorize the RFID in the system. Expect to pay full price.

I agree that the cups can be reactivated but for full price which is $19.99 . That gets you the regular mug . I would just get the regular one and use that for soda/ Powerade /lemonade etc . Bring the other one which has a metal liner I believe for coffee . We brought our old mugs to use for coffee and the new ones for everything else . No matter how many times I wash them with Dawn they still taste and smell like coffee . I hate the taste of coffee with my Sprite Zero !

It's just the plastic one that has the residual coffee taste, right? I would think the metal one would be fine. Also, if they have the metal Star Wars Mugs, couldn't they reactivate the RFID for the regular mug price, thus saving them a couple of bucks since they will be reusing the already purchased and more expensive SW mug?

Yes it’s the plastic one that tastes bad after coffee. Either way they are paying $19.99 for a new mug or to activate the old mug . Might as well get a new one if only to give as a gift or something.
