....if I tell you the following about us...

[*]We are a young couple

[*]We are only going to eat in Disney once

[*]We won't be visiting the parks

[*]We LOVED O'hana

[*]We don't need to scrimp and save but at the same time an extravagent dinner isn't for us, we'd prefer plentiful simple food

[*]We love the idea of all-you-can eat but not really buffets

[*]Because we will probably only visit Disney once this year, we'd like dinner to be a real experience, not just a quick bite.

I would really appreciate the benefits of your expertise!

Boma or the CM at the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK.

:cool1:

You might consider the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. Check the menu at http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_wc.htm.

It can get a little rowdy, but if you want a little less action from the waiters just tell the hostess that you would like a quiet dinner. You can order off the menu or get a all you care to eat skillet dinner. The place can be loud.

Boma is fun- the food is delicious and its nice to walk around the AKL after dinner and see the animals.

I would recommend Boma as well. It is a nice mix of unusual and different foods with the tried and true for those not so adventurous. You can eat all you wish - but it feels nicer than a plan old pig out buffet! Plus the setting is lovely - make sure and go over early so you can walk around the Lodge, both inside and out!

The California Grill at the Contemporary is just a wonderful dining experience, it is a bit upscale but not pretentious at all. If you decide to try it, go at the same as the fireworks at the magic kingdom and ask for a window seat. Now that is something you will never forget!!! Boma is good but just does not come close to the California Grill. :earsboy:

Thanks for all your help guys, please please keep 'em coming.

Just to let you know though, we've already been to Boma. I loved it but my boyfriend unfortuantely didn't, he's got a weird thing against buffet food, think it's a hygiene thing....who knows!

We ate at all of these places my favorites in order.

Hoop Dee Doo - food and great entertainment :wizard:
Yachtsman Steakhouse - filet migon :earseek:
50's Prime Time - :rotfl2:
Whispering Canyon :rotfl:
O'hana's :cloud9:
Sci fi :flower:
Beaches N Cream :cheer2:

All these places were awesome.

I suggested WCC and since you will not be visiting the parks you might also consider The House of Blues in Downtown Disney.
