ceramic pots? What kind of paint do you use? We are going to decorate them for our Brownie troop and I am wondering if they are porous and the paint might just absorb in??

Thanks if anyone knows the answer to this!

You can paint directly on them without a problem. You can use acrylic paint. One of the cheapest is Apple Barrel. It can be found at Hobby Lobby & Michael's. You might even try Wal-Mart. If you want to assure that the paint lasts a long time, spray a coat of sealer on them once they've completely dried. Have fun!

There are also "paint pens" for the terra cotta pots...I have them and they are called Garden Craft terra cotta markers...I had my son's class sign a terra cotta pot for their teachers...the pens made it very easy and not messy.

I've used Patio Paint by DecoArt http://www.decoart.com/cgi-bin/Products.cgi?Patio_Paint

They come in lots of colors, and is made for painting things like terra cotta, concrete, stone, etc.

Hope that helps!
