can you only "partially" hop?

Our AAA discount is better than the "special" ticket upgrade. WE are buying 5 day tickets - my question is if we wanted to hop on 2 of those days, can we upgrade to a hopper for 2 days - or does it have to be for all 5?

The hopping feature has to be for the entire length of the ticket.

You pay one hopper price, the price doesn't change if you hop less. So you don't save anything for only hopping for part of your trip.

For now I suggest buying hopping with the ticket if possible as opposed to adding hopping later. For some tickets purchased at a discount guests have reported being charged more than the $43. cost to add hopping later. In effect the ticket has to be converted to gate price first (takes only milliseconds unless you want to step out of line and think about it after being quoted the total cost).
