before your hotel reservation? We are going for sure in February, but we are waiting to see if my dh's friend is going to rent his DVC points to us. If he doesn't, we either need to rent points or make a reservation at either CSR or CBR. I already have our restaurant choices selected, so can I make the ADRs now?

Anyone can make a reservation 180 days out, you don't even need to be staying at a WDW hotel or even visiting WDW (many locals stop in at the hotel restaurants).

The only thing you can't do is book the 180 plus 10, which is a perk just for WDW resort guests.
