Can you make DVC payments with a credit card?

My husband and I calling DVC this week to buy into SSR. We are so excited!!!

Does anyone know if you can make your automatic payments with a credit card? We are going to do the 10 year financing at 9.75%. We plan to make extra payments regularly--can we pay those with a credit card?

Pretty sure monthly payments can only be from a checking or savings account.

Automatic debits have to be from a checking or saving account; however, additional payments can be made by credit card by calling the member services and selecting member accounting. You can just give them you CC number over the phone and tell them how much of an additional payment you wish to make.

We did the 10 year thing with a 150 point add-on at the BWV a couple of years ago and will have it paid off next month by making those extra payments each month by using our credit card. Of course it also important to pay that off each month then too.

Thanks for the feedback. We do pay our card every month, so we just want to use it to get the Disney Dollars.
