Can you make changes to Undercover Tourist tickets?

If I buy the Undercover Tourist tickets, can I make changes later like adding a day? Or if I decide to stay at WDW resort, can I go back and add the ticket to my magic band and add a dining package? Are they the same hard ticket as I would get from WDW?

Yes to all!

Be sure to enter a park with it first, if you're going to add a day. They then "bridge" the price (read about that in the Theme Parks & Attractions section here). Some cast members don't know how. Case in point: I wanted to add a day to my DD's and my ticket last spring. We had saved some on our tickets from UT, so when we went to the International Gateway at Epcot, they wanted something like $70 total to add a day to both our tickets. I said no, went the Guest Relations at the front (by Spaceship Earth) instead, and it was like $9 total. So I'd do it after you've used at least one day, but don't wait until you don't have any days left.

When you check in, you can have them link them to your magic bands.

I don't think you can add a dining plan. To do that, you have to purchase a Package, which includes the purchase of tickets. That is, unless you can purchase a Ticketless Package (DVC members can do that, but I'm not sure if you can otherwise).

In your case, you'd just be booking room-only, which does not allow the purchase of a dining plan.

This.
Unless you book a room-ticket package you can not get the Dining plan

Actually there is a current test (so who knows how long it will last) that you can add the dining plan to room only. But in general they are correct. Dining plans are only part of packages.

Is this considered a Ticketless Package, with the package deposit and cancelation rules? Or truly room-only with the more lenient deposit/cancelation policy?

Honestly I have no idea. We are not dining plan people, so I never looked into it. You have to call to book it though, so I am sure they will tell you. The strategies board was talking about it.

Very interesting. Well OP, it may be worth a phone call, if it's something you want to pursue!
