Can you just call your guide and add on?

If you already own DVC, and have decided to buy more points, do you need to run another credit report and all of the paperwork, or do they just add it onto your monthly payment if you financed? How can they verify that both of the people on the current contract want to buy more? I'm wonderinf if you can do it as a surprise?

They do have to run the information again but yes they definitely can do it over the phone! Not sure about the surprise thing...I'd give your guide a call to find out! Sounds like a GREAT surprise!!!

What a fun surprise. We added on last year, and all it took was us saying, "we want X number of points at Y resort please." We are married, so if that isn't the case with the people on your contract things could vary; still, our guide didn't make Matt get on the phone and also approve. My word was enough. Obviously, the individuals on the contract have to sign the documents, so you can surprise the person when the FedEx box arrives, but to complete the purchase, you'd need their signature.

If you add on thru Disney the points will be in your account as soon as your credit card deposit is received & processed (our last add on was available for use within an hour ).

Once the deposit is given they will send you all the paperwork via FedEx. Both people on the contract will need to sign the paperwork all over again but you will have about a 10 day window from the time you actually "order" the points & the time the signed paperwork needs to be back in DVC's hands.

They do not run anymore credit reports on you which is a good thing when it comes to keeping your credit score number high.

But..you can do it as a surprise for sure! About 6 months after we became members my DH bought 25 pts cash sale as an anniversary gift for me. I LOVED it!!!

Of course all paperwork had to be signed by both of us since we are both on the deed but think this is a wonderful gift and hope DH surprises me again someday...
