can you go to Carthay Circle just for a drink?

i have read a lot about the lunch/dinner menu here, the great food and the WOC ticket perk! just wondering if, in the middle of the afternoon, you can just stop in and have a cocktail OR if you need a reservation for this, though i don't know that they would take a reseravation for a cocktail . i understand you wouldn't get the WOC of ticket by doing this but just thinking that it might be fun to pop in to check it out even though i don't know if dining here is in the cards for us. is there a separate bar area or do you need to be seated?

Yes, the lounge is downstairs and the restaurant is upstairs. The lounge has good cocktails and appetizers if you'd like. Their exclusive drinks, 1 is a martini and I forget the other, come with an ice sphere and it is neat to watch them make it.

The Carthay Circle lounge is small but lovely. It's just inside the door to the right. No reservation needed. My DF and I ended almost every night on our last trip with a "civilized nightcap" there. There isn't much food on the menu, but the warm olives are AMAZING.

Sit at the bar and get a drink with an ice sphere. A bit of Disney magic, right there.

i grew up in wisconsin - in small towns and summer camping resorts we visited the kids could also sit at the bar and have a kiddie cocktail or soda. now i live in utah where such a thing is strictly forbidden.

They can sit in the bar, not at the bar.

DBF and I had just drinks in the lounge; my favorite is Pimm's Punch! They also have little appetizers and desserts available if you want to make a quick meal out of those.

You don't even need to go into the lounge, you can sit in the waiting area downstairs and have drinks and small plates there. I've been to CCT 3 times and have never set foot in the actual lounge. lol I need to do that.
