Can you get TS meals to go?

Is that allowed? I am really leaning towards the DP for the Character meals, but I think most of our other meals will want to be grab and go. Can you order a TS meal to go?

It's been my understanding that they DO NOT ALLOW to go orders. Probably due to kitchen limitations. Could you imaging the pile up on orders at Le Cellar? Or any TS establishment.

TS restaurants are not set up for to go orders. Last Oct I was at California Grill on the DxDDP and didn't feel like dessert, so asked for it to go. Every single dessert on the menu I was told no for. They said their standard to go dessert was a chocolate cake, which I didn't want. They did finally allow to me to get a cheese plate to go though, as did Flying Fish. This past Dec I was ill the night we had an ADR at Yachtsman, so sent my husband and mom on ahead. I guess I was just overheated, because I got to feeling better pretty quickly, so called and asked them to bring me something back. Yatchsman would not allow them to order a full meal to go. They did allow them to order a seafood salad to go though.:confused3 In both of these instances our party was already in the restaurant and had ordered food. People have also posted on here that Olivia's has some weird policy that you can not order dessert to go, but you can order it, take a bite, then get a to go box.:confused3 I think it would be even harder to try to walk up or call and get an order to go.

To the opening poster this was a good question as I was wondering about to go options too. Thanks for the informed answers too. :flower3:

Aubiree's post is probably relevant to persons who eat in the restaurant and want to take the dessert with them - not to those who just want to walk up to the counter and order a dessert to go. I am pretty sure you won't be able to do that at all. I'd try having the dessert served, eat a bite, then ask if you can take the rest with you.

There've been reports on Olivia's that they allow no takeout orders at all. You can order anything from their menu in the Gurgling Suitcase bar if you want to - however, you're required to eat at least some of it in the bar, you can't get it strictly for takeout.

Disney TS restaurants are not equipped to accommodate full takeout orders and probably will not do so. You may have varying levels of success if you are already seated in the restaurant. You will probably be able to take away a part of the meal you have already been served, but asking for extra items "to go" may not be permitted.
