If we arrive the day before we will be going into DL, can we present our paper ticket vouchers anywhere (ticket booth, turnstiles, etc.) and have our pix taken ahead of time and get the regular small ticket so that we don't hold the line up in the morning getting pix taken then when everyone is anxious to get through the turnstiles as quickly as they can?

No. They don't take your picture at the ticket booth. You could exchange your voucher and get your ticket at the booth the night before but in the am of your first day you will have to have your picture taken.

Would it save any significant amount of time to exchange the voucher the night before at the ticket booth if we still have to get our pix taken the next morning?

I believe there are two lines - one at the ticket booth to exchange the voucher, and one to enter the park. When you enter the park is when the picture is taken. Exchanging the voucher the night before would eliminate that line on the day you enter the park.

I may be wrong, but can you exchange the voucher at the turnstiles? That would only be one line, then.

I don't think so. It's fast. When we go I buy my niece's ticket online then have them scan my receipt on my phone and they hand us the ticket and take her pic. It's pretty fast.

If your voucher has a barcode it can be exchanged at the turnstyle.

Certain vouchers can also be exchanged at the front desk of an onsite hotel. You will want to exercise one of the other options rather than going to a ticket booth.

If you get there early and are at the front of the line to enter the park, they can take your picture before they let you in.

We've seen this many times. In the morning as the CM's are prepping the gates for opening, I seen them come out and take pic's of people close to the front of the entrance.

The CM's know everyone wants in fast once the park is open. They do a great job getting the busy work out of the way to keep the lines moving.

Where did you buy your tickets? If they are from Disney, you just go to the turnstiles. No need to go to the ticket booths. I believe there are a couple 3rd party sellers that may reguire going to the ticket booths.

Thank you for the info - we will plan on just going to the turnstiles and hopefully get there early enough to get pix taken before opening.

Just to be clear, there is a difference between a paper voucher that must be exchanged at the ticket booth and a paper ticket that can be exchanged a the turnstiles. Make sure you understand which one you have.
