As the title says, has anyone got rates for August.

I am expecting they don't do them then as it's busy anyway but rather than phone and ask, I wondered if it's possible

I just booked three nights this morning.....8/8-11...AAA rate 251.10 wed thurs..and 273.60 fri. I was really hoping for something better, maybe they'll lower the rates as the time gets closer......hope this helps! Oh this was at the RPR

Curious...I have a longtime membership here but haven't posted in quite a while...couldn't seem to retrieve my forgotten password...sent 4 requests. I had to make a new username but would prefer using the old ....can anyone help?

We booked our Aug. trip using the AAA discount last Oct. We having two garden view rooms at the Hard Rock and love using AAA since the rooms are guaranteed to be connecting. We booked directly through Loews. I would call them to see if there are any rooms left with the AAA discount since they only have so many.

Can I book AAA online? I couldn't figure it out? Are thre different cancellation rules for booking online vs. via phone?

Just decided today we are going to stay one night before we head to Disney. Wish it was more!

I have tried to get the AAA rate online through Universal and I am never sure if it shows up as the discount. I have gone into the AAA site and they come up through them with the discount. I personally have never done it online, I just call Loews directly and if there is no other discount available I ask them for the AAA rate. I actually booked our two rooms this year before the AAA rate was available so I just called them back when it showed up on the AAA site and they adjusted the rate for me and took the credit off of our final bill.

Well, I've just phoned and the AAA rate is dearer than the rate I've already got (I've got the stay more save more rate) so I'm better off staying as I am.

Bit of a shame but never mind!:thumbsup2

I used the AAA discount for my upcoming August 14-15th trip. I went through the AAA website to book the room and recieved a rate of $190.40 (before tax).

You can't book AAA online at the Loews website for the Orlando hotels. You can book it for other destination hotels.

You can book it either online through the AAA website or by phone through AAA or Loews.

Have you tried sending them a email?

The rate I got from AAA was better than the APH rate for Aug 3 to 11 at RPH
I called Loews direct and booked it . Good LUCK

Hotel rates can get confusing. Length of stay, when you go, where you stay, number of adults & children per room - many factors create the rate you end up paying.

Best way to get a basic idea of rates for your travel period, IMHO: go to the Loews hotels website and key in your dates and number of rooms, people per room. Open another browser window and do the same for AAA. You can then check rates side by side for various room types.

Then, go back to the Loews site and add APH (annual passholder) as promotion type and see if it surfaces for your dates. If it does, you then have to figure out if there are any savings for your stay after the added cost for the APH (and, you may find out you need an APH for each room booked - there doesn't seem to be clearly defined rules for this).

In our case, staying four nights in October, the SMSM rate was the same as the AAA rate, and we have three adults in one room, two adults and three teens in another (a Kid's Suite), so our rates are higher from what I see online. They DO charge for extra people, over the standard two per room.

Finally, the best advice is to call the hotel directly - I would recommend this regardless of what you see online. This is how I made our reservations. The advantage here is that it is very easy to switch to a lower rate if you see one - call the hotel! But be sure to keep checking the websites for those lower rates because you never know when they will be released, and they often are available in limited numbers , so when they're gone, they're gone.
