Hi! My wife and I our taking our first cruise (3 day - Caribbean - Disney Wonder) in Feb 07. We will make reservations for Palo - can I request a table for 2 at that time and will it be honored for all 3 night?

Thanks for your help and advice!

Best wishes,
Dave

My understanding is that you can call DCL reservations and request a table for 2. They will try to accomodate you, but it is not guaranteed.

I have seen tables for 2 on both my cruises, so I would def. request ASAP. (Are you anti-social or just very romantic?) hee heee.....don't take that the wrong way ;)

Your Palo reservation is totally separate from your regular dining reservation. You will get a table for 2 at Palo--no problem there. In the regular dining room, call DCL and request a table for 2. Then, when you board, go to "Dining Changes" (the location will be in the "Welcome Aboard" sheet you receive when you check in). Ask the head server there if you are at a table for 2, and if not ask if he can move you to a table for 2. Usually they can manage it.

But do consider dining with others. Its a cruising tradition and you can meet some interesting people and have some nice conversations. Maybe even other DISers. Its only for two nights (if you do Palo one night) and a few hours a day.

We met a lovely couple and their two boys over dinner. We consider it a "feature" of cruising.

I never noticed any tables for 2, almost all the tables were for 4, then pushed together to make larger tables. However, if someone saw some for 2 they must be a few there. Or maybe they were tables for 4 with just 2 folks.

I was wondering if I just missed them too. We have sat in various places in the dining rooms & have never seen anything smaller than a 4 top.

On our first cruise we were at a larger table with three other couples we had never met. It was great fun to hear what everyone had done with the day and planned on doing the next day. We're hoping for some fun people on the 8/19 Magic Double Dip.

There are a few tables for two, but they are rare. There was a table for two near us on our cruise....or, perhaps rather, two people sitting at a table.

So, if the cruise is booked...it is less likely I guess. Of course, you could be seated at a 4 top & the other 2 people choose to not eat in the dining room.

There are tables for two. We had a table of four and next to it was a table for two always empty.
