Can you drive a stickshift?

Grr. Now there's a touchy subject. My fiancee just bought a car with a stick. I have no idea how to drive one, and frankly, I don't really want to learn. I don't like to drive and constantly paying attention to shifting, etc. is going to bother me. I've resigned my self to learning, but relying on public transportation A LOT more. I'm still kinda annoyed that he just didn't care that I don't want to drive a stick. Grrr.

I can hardly imagine me driving anything but a stick-shift. I love it. It baffles me how those who do not know how to drive one are totally turned off by it because it seems so hard. It's not. It becomes second nature. I "forget" how to drive an automatic when i have to drive one. I'm always steping for the clutch and ready to shift. I feel uncomfortable in a automatic.

yep I can drive one and did for several years.. I prefer not too though because my knees are so bad that its hard, especially when its cold outside
