Can you do twilight checkin at Manchester?

Ive beeen reading about VA being able to check in at Heathrow (i think) on the twilight checkin.

Simple question : Can you do twilight checkin at Manchester. I'm quite eager to bag extra leg room seats you see!!

If not how long before flights does checkin open ? Is it 4 hours or 3 hours?

Don't think you can do twilight check in, but online check in opens 24 hours before departure, looking on the VA site, it says 2-3 hours before but our taxi is getting us to the airport 4 hours before.
