Can you bring food and drink into the parks?

How about a small soft sided cooler? For water, juice boxes, etc?

Thanks for any help. We used to do this....but I wanted to make sure that things haven't changed.

You will find some places that it is prohibited, however, in the UG, you will find people who have had their food looked through by the CM's at the gate and said nothing. From what you describe, I don't see it being a problem. Go for it.

I believe that as a general rule the answer is no you can not. However, I have never seen anyone refused addmission, or had food or drink confiscated, as long as it is not an extremly large amount.

i.e. gallons of fruit juice
dozens of sandwiches
several boxes of snacks
a fruit stand amount of fresh fruit

That said: a few boxes of juice, pieces of fruit, or some small snacks are most often overlooked, especially if there are small children in your party.

I've read on here that you are not supposed to. However, I do wonder where it's written. I have asked at the parks, when going in, and I asked at our resorts. Everyone seems to think it's fine, and we go right through with some light stuff..P & J sandwiches, crackers, drinks, fruit, and an occasional sub, or leftover from the meal the night before. I have had some of the "searchers" on the way in ask if I could leave it with them for their lunches.

I ususually bring a soft sided cooler w/ sippy cups, Juice bags and snacks for the kids. I have never had a problem doing this. They do look in the bags going through security. Never had a problem.

Actually they have changed the rules (a few years ago) and soft coolers and outside food is allowed. We always bring food since we have small children and started back when we were brining baby food. They can't deney that.

Then we were at the grocery store and a was chatting with the casiher and she said "you know they changed the rules now, they allow soft coolers and outside food in the WDW parks". That was about 2 years ago.

So go, bring your food, we have Many Many times.

They will stop you for alchol and glass bottles. They have never given me a problem with baby food jars. Medical needs with needles will have to go to guest relations I belive, but not sure since I never need them.

Bring your own water, pop or juice and snacks. While there are some snacks food you MUST do while at WDW, it is great for snacks with out standing in line. I always bring grapes, they taste so good on a hot day.
Have fun.

Thanks for all your replies. When you can’t find the wording that bringing food and drinks into the park is prohibited on the back of the tickets or anywhere on their site…it makes sense that it’s actually allowed. Or at least it’s a soft rule. Thanks again

In my "DisneyWorld" back pack, I have three individual packed crackers and potato chips and a bottled water. That's pretty much it for us. This is when we are waiting too long in the line and when our stomach starts to growl, this will just tie us over until we get to a restaurant.

But I haven't done this lately, maybe for the past 4 visits. What I do now is just go to one of those stands and buy chips or cookies or hot dogs or pretzels and pop or bottled water. We do this between a few rides. It's less hassle, but expensive!

yes coolers are allowed, and there are small lockers, but be aware that if it won't fit in the locker you will be carrying it around with you all day. Not fun if it's heavy. The other thing is no wagons, sorry. :)
