Kamgen, if you feel more secure w/a ressie at OKW, then keep it and go on the waitlist for BWV.
they have 2 methods now for the waitlist, one is the automatic, which is new, they just book it when it becomes available, so the points need to be available for that! they don't call, they just send you a surprise confirmation in the mail.
the old way is that they will call you when it becomes avail, and you have 24hrs to get back to them, w/your decision, however if you miss the call, and don't get the message, you are
SOL !!! cause they drop you from the waitlist!
when you go on a waitlist, they give you the option of automatic or a phone call. I've done both ways, first time I had an alternate booked at OKW, and then dropped it when they called and said my BWV became avail (however I almost didn't get the message! yikes!!!)
and the second time I opted for the automatic, cause I didn't want to risk not getting the message,a nd losing out, so I cancelled my VWL ressie, and went on the automatic wait for BWV (I was stressed, but it came through, all 8 nights in just 3 days!!!

)
I didn't have enough points to hold a ressie at VWL, and then have enough avail to get the BWV automatically.
If you have enough points to have 2 places booked at once, then keep one ressie, and go on automatic waitlist for the other, than when the waitlist comes through you can drop the other one, you just have to make sure you do so before the cancellation penalty period!!
I hope this all makes sense!!!
