Can You Book Boardwalk View on Cash?

I am trying to add a night to my January reservation at BWV. I am looking for a boardwalk view 1 bedroom on cash. When I called today, the CM told me that they do not rent out boardwalk view rooms or standard rooms for cash. I know I had heard this before, but I also thought I remembered reading that some of you here had been able to.

Please give me some hope!!

You've been given correct information. The standard exception is if the room hasn't been booked with points within the last 30 days (I think that # is correct) then it could be available for cash. If your situation is that you don't have enough points and are trying to extend w/cash, you could rent points from another DVC member and sorta be paying cash that way.

it was before BWV was that - when it was just preferred view you could sometimes get it cash.

standard view you could also get for cash - no discount. so you would pay the same for preferred as standard when you pay cash.

Just posting to confirm - the Boardwalk view rooms are not available for cash, only points.

FWIW, neither are the BCV dedicated 2 bedroom units with two queen beds in the second bedroom.

Ok, so in the last 30 - 60 days I might be able to get one? I thought about renting or transferring points and I still might, it is just so much easier to add on one night cash if possible.

FWIW, they do have both standard, preferred pool and preferred bw view available for points and preferred pool available for cash with the member discount.
