Can you apply codes to existing reservations?

Some dear friends of ours are taking their first trip to WDW next month on a Magic Your Way plus Dining package. They have already paid the balance off. If a code comes out (like the ZUE and ZUF codes) can they apply it after the fact? How does that work - they refund the money or give you a credit?

Just wondering if I can help them save a buck. Any thoughts?

If the trip is paid off they will get a refund. They will put the money back on your credit card. They are very efficient in doing this as well- it will show up on the card within a few days- good luck!!

Thanks, lustergirl. I relayed the info to our friends, who were thrilled to save 13% on their package. They had really been on the fence about taking this vacation - they waited until the very last day to decide. Saving some money on top of it all is a huge bonus.
