Can we use AP rate to book room for someone else?

I think I worry too much when we have friends or family going with us!

We are staying at AKV Concierge :cool1: on DVC points. We plan on getting a second room, but want to be sure that all four members of our immediate family are on the concierge room so there is no question about concierge benefits (okay, I'm talking access to the lounge!)

One other person will be joining our group the second day, which is when we booked the second room at the AP rate. My understanding is that a passholder can book up to three rooms, obviously they can't stay in all three, so I am assuming we aren't going to have an issue at check-in. We will be there for check-in (our credit card will be used for the room and any charges) but didn't want any unexpected surprises.

At the moment the room is in my husband's name. I'm thinking that we should call and put the reservation to the name of the person who will stay there. Then just be present at check-in, with our annual pass and credit card in hand. Any problems with this?

Disney got stingy and changed the rule. You can only book one room with an AP and the passholder must be in that room.

I was able to book two rooms on DH's AP for our January trip. I had been told one room by my travel agent, but when I called Disney, they told me I could book two. I'd call Disney directly and ask, as it seems the rules aren't very clear at this point.

I called Disney and explained the situation and they said that we could book up to 3 rooms with the passholder rate. :cool1:
