WOW is all I can say! Is one of those pictures Macland Rd? Chris tried to go that way today....needless to say he had to turn around. I hope it doesn't rain all night again.

Yes!!!! My cousin took that on her way to work!! The ones on macland were pictures 5-8!! It was awful!!

Thanks Katie!! We are somewhat lucky where we are. Chad said he is very thankful we live on top of a hill and that was his reason why....

Oh, I know!!! It is so scary!!!! I was worried about the road my parents live off of. There is a creek and it usually will flood there. But, thankfully this time it didn't flood. But, I know I am staying far away from Hiram and downtown Dallas right now. Its just so scary!!

Did you read about the little toddler in Carrollton? So sad... :(

One of the first things I asked Charles this morning was, "There aren't any creeks near us, are there?"

I did read about that toddler -- it absolutely broke my heart!!! :sad1:

We actually have one in our backyard...but thank goodness we are only a good sized hill. We have a drainage ditch near our home and where our property starts. Well, about 5 years ago it rained and flooded the road. So, the county sent some people out to put a better drainage system there and I am so thankful they did!! It would have been awful!

Oh, it broke my heart too!! Its just so sad...

Crazy weather you are having....I hope all of you are safe and not in harms way of the floods.

We had some areas of flooding this summer and the devastation to peoples homes was terrible.

I noticed all of that famous red mud, I so dreaded when I lived down south.

Be safe tomorrow when you drive in to work!

Hollie's new Mickey dress is so amazing! I love the tutu detail. It will look so cute on her! Are you planning to do her hair or are you going to the 'Boutique'?

Her eyes are the same color as her bathing suit, soo pretty. ;)

Hey girl!!!!!

i know, it is just crazy!!! I just feel bad for people who are losing family members and homes! Its awful!!

Oh yes, I can't stand the red mud!! Ewwww!! My poor back yard will not grow anything because of that! Ugh!!!

Awww, thanks!!! Well, I asked her if she wanted her hair and makeup done and she said, "No, they might push me out of the chair!" :rotfl2: I don't think she will ever let that one down!!

Please. please stay safe Heather! Didn't even know that was even happening! Shows you how busy I've been.

Again, please stay safe!

Has it gotten any better?

Well...it has quit raining but its supposed to start back again tonight. Right now, they are in the process of cutting the water off for precaution. There were several main water lines that broke and they are afraid that the water will be contaminated so they are shutting the water off for a few days! Too bad my parents closed up their swimming pool!
I am trying to keep a positive attitude about it because number 1, me and all of my family still have our homes and not one of us have been hurt! That is the most important thing to me! Who cares if I can't take a bath in, gulp, 2 days!!!
I am lucky in the fact that my parents have well water, so we won't be going without baths. But, it just blows my mind with all of this. I feel so bad for everyone who have lost family members and their homes.
Six flags is actually under water right now. I am gonna post pictures soon!

:sad1:Oh my Heather,

I'm glad you and your family are safe! A good friend of mine lives in Atlanta near the airport ! She rode down a road near the airport on her way to the docs and her car went under water!! But the good thing is her and her children got out unfortunately cars are expensive but replaceable! I seen that story on the news about the 2yr old baby that the father lost grip of and floated down stream and drowned!:sad1: soo sad! And then another where The one family member drowned then later the same day a cousin in the same family drowned it's all sooo sad!!:sad1:

I hope the forecast will be wrong and the rain will give you guys a break!
Things like this make us more appreciative of the days when all is normal and well.

OMGosh! That looks awful!

I know! It was! I really need to ride up town. My mom said its just crazy with all the roads caving in. :sad2:

I am really hoping that the rain will miss all of us and stop soon! I am grateful for rain but I dont like it when people are losing their family, homes, etc.

I hope the forecast will be wrong and the rain will give you guys a break!

I sure hope so too MeMom!

It really does make you more appreciative!

Hi hlrababy and Charleston Princess,

I am a fellow Georgian. I am so sorry to hear you live in a hard hit area from the floods. I live east of Atlanta; about 16 miles east of Stone Mtn park. Of course we got tons and tons of rain but there are no rivers or large creeks near here. Funny thing is about 10 miles (Lilburn) from here many people have flooded homes and there are other major flooding issues from the Yellow River.

I have seen all the reports on TV and my heart just breaks for all the families that have lost loved ones and the ones whose home have flooded.:sad1: It is hard to believe that this is happening around Atl. I have lived here my whole life and I can't remember anything like this. :sad2:

Thankful to hear you and your family are safe.

Darlene

Oh my! What a shame! I have been hearing about it on our news here. Hope you and your family are all staying safe!
