Can we get by with no "nice" clothes?

We'll be at the World next June...I assume it will be very very hot and humid. We'll be traveling with 3 kids, so no romantic meals involved. We will have a few PS for sit down meals. Can we get by with just very casual shorts, or should we take one or two nicer outfits?

We don't take any nice clothes. We usually eat counter service most of the time but we do go the the Rain Forest Cafe. This time (we leave in 8 days) we are going to the Rain Forest at the AK at 5 for dinner, so we will be at the park all day and then go for dinner(sweat and all). We are also doing breakfast at Chef Mickey and we wear shorts and lunch at Planet Hollywood and are wearing shorts. I would say if it is meals like this your planning then no you don't need to pack nice clothes.

We usually go in June for a week or more and I take shorts, tops, swimsuit, underwear and socks and have never felt that I needed anything else.

Nope! We eat dinner in a sit down resturant every night (Artist Point, Concource Steakhouse, etc) and always wear short & a T.

We stayed at the GF in April and we never broke out the "nice' clothes be packed.

We only ever saw people dressed up for weddings, and the fancier restaurants.

We ate at Park Fare in our shorts, like everyone else.

The only restaurant that has a dress code is Victoria&Albert's in the Grand Floridian. All other restaurants on WDW property are casual.

Yea - you really dont need nice clothes - its to hot to get dressed up anyway!

Wonderful! That will help cut down on what we bring. We'll be there 10 nights...I suppose I still won't be able to avoid doing laundry...don't know if I will really be able to come up with 10 complete outfits for each kid. But it helps to know I won't have to pack nice clothes.

Although it's not as fun in hot weather, knowing it will be hot also helps with packing. When we went to DL in March, I checked the weather forcast and didn't know whether to bring long pants and long sleeves, or shorts and short sleeves. I brought half of both. As it turned out, the weather was in the high 70s the whole time, so we didn't wear half the clothes we brought.

oooo ooooo oooo I'm gonna be there too!! I'm gonna try and figure out how to stick Home Depot Green MM on a laynard... I hope "strangers" aka "friends I've yet to meet" come up and talk to me just because I have a bit of the green on!!

Thanks for the info on the dress, I have been debating on taking something nice, we have PS for Rainforest, Ohana's, and a cruise with fellow Dis'ers (thanks Badger Brent!)
