per the boards here historically free dining has been offered begining of april.
can i combine a 40% off promo code or bounce off and a free dining?

Free dining has historically been the end of August through most of September, so it won't be offered during your trip . And I have never seen Disney allow two promotions to be combined (free dining and 40% off). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

That's exactly when we are going too! Where are you staying? AKL, WL and CR were sold out, so we're trying POR for the first time. Looking forward to it!!

I should have clarified my question. what i meant was once i am there, if i ma offered a 40% bounce back for room only and then come home (on april 7th) and the free dining is offered can i combine both on a trip for aug or sept?

I just booked a 40% room for Sept and asked the CM if the free dining came out could I apply it. She said that some CM's would say No but that you can. You have to go thru Guest Services. She said that since the 40% was for rooms only, you could still apply the free dining. We'll see if it comes thru but I wrote all her notes on how to get it done in case the free dining comes out again.

You would either get free dining OR Bounceback/40%, you would have to decide which is more cost effective for your family.

I have .. in my several years on these boards, including a while as a moderator right here on codes and rates - NEVER heard of anyone getting a % off their room & free dining.

As a matter of fact, one of the conditions for 2007 free dining was that you were paying the rack rate for the room. That was actually listed in the terms and conditions of the offer.

It's always been one discount or the other. I think the CM you spoke to was unfortunately misinformed.

Besides, with 40% off AND free dining, they'd practically be paying YOU to stay there..

I got 40% off last year, then when free dining came out I got the free dining...INSTEAD of the 40% off because we are value resort people and free dining is the better deal. I was made to choose which one, I could not get both.

Ok, I did ask her twice and she is probably wrong since it sounds too good to be true. I think I am still better off with the 40% since I am saving $700 from the AAA package rate and the dining plan for 5 of us, 5 night would only total about $500 so the I think I would stick with the 40% off.
