Can u take wrapped xmas presents in luggage on plane?

Just wondering if you can take wrapped presents in luggage on airplanes. I want to take our presents with us in a suitcase (there's not very many) but I don't want to be held up in security. (all are girl toys,dvds) Would it just be cheaper to mail them down?

No they shouldn't be wrapped in your luggage. If they have to inspect them they will take the paper off.

Either don't wrap them or ship them down.

You CAN, but it's not a good idea. If they pick you for the extra special super duper search, they'll unwrap all your gifts.

If you don't have time to wrap upon your arrival and would rather not (or can't) ship them down, I suggest using gift bags with tissue. You can easily pull out the gift to show security, and easily pop it back in the gift bag and poof the tissue. Instant wraping, and security is happy too!
