Can ticket be upgraded 3 months after first use?

Hi. I have a 3 day ticket with 1 day remaining, which I first used 3 months ago. Can I upgrade it now to an annual pass? A few years ago I did just this but I was reading online about that it could only be done within 14 days of first use? Anyone have any experience with this? Is this a new policy? Thanks

No. It does have to be upgraded within 14 days of first use.

I could be wrong, but individual day tickets now expire 14 days after the first use. Here is what the Walt Disney World website says about tickets: "Tickets and any options purchased must be used within 14 days of first use, except for Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets. Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets expire 6 months after first use or December 17, 2017, whichever comes first, and may not be used on the following blockout dates: July 1, 2016 to July 4, 2016; April 8, 2017 to April 21, 2017; June 5, 2017 to August 10, 2017."

So, if you live in Florida, and got the Florida Resident ticket, you should be able to. Unless your ticket expired December, 2016? I don't know.

From Cheshire Figment's old FAQ

A Florida Resident who is upgrading a three or four day ticket may do the upgrade any time within six months of the date of first use. The Florida Resident will also have the option of a Weekday Select Pass or Seasonal Pass, as well as an AP, PAP or DPP. Note that the six month rules does notapply if upgrading to any Annual Pass using the Monthly Payment Plan; in this instance the upgrade may only be done within 14 days of first use.

OP's profile says Miami. I'm going to guess FL Res ticket and say "yes, it can be upgraded." But, you can't use the monthly payment plan for an AP upgrade in that instance.
