Last summer at the WLV pool I saw a boy catching a snake in a pool towel right next to the pool. When I asked him if he knew what kind of snake it was he replied "No." Then I asked him if he knew if it was poisonous or not, he said, "I dunno?". I told him it probably was not such a great idea to handle a snake he knew nothing about, but I guess boys wil be boys.
With the lush natural environment at WDW there are plenty of snakes, lizards, insects etc., closer than you realize for your enjoyment.

I'd get nervous just approaching the room hoping there wouldn't be a frog waiting in front of our door. YUCK!
You're cracking me up! I'm now imagining my mother and I in your innertube story and I can't stop laughing. We're both terrified of snakes, too.

They are like most wild animals - leave us alone and we'll leave you alone.
