Can this be done?

I'm trying to find a definite answer to this question, and it's driving me crazy. I want to order a DVC discounted AP, and I have 3 gift cards (2 AMEX and 1 Visa) that I want to use first. So, in total, I'll have 4 forms of payment: the 3 gift cards, and the balance will go on my credit card. I e-mailed MS and asked if this could be done over the phone through MS, and the response I got back was yes. However, when I called, I was told no; the only way to do a split payment like this was at a Guest Relations booth at WDW. So, my question is: who is correct, the CM I spoke to on the phone, or the CM who e-mailed me? I'd prefer to do this now instead of waiting until I get to WDW; I just got my tax refund, and want to use this money before I spend it on something else.

I thought I've read you can't do that unless you're there.

To preserve the money you have slated towards the AP, if opening a special account won't work, why not buy a Disney Giftcard with that money and put it with the other giftcards?

It's just a personal preference; I'd rather buy the AP instead of the Disney GC. Why make double work for myself? I want to use the 3 GC's I have to purchase the AP, so why use GC's to purchase a GC?

I will call again this afternoon and hopefully have luck.

I meant put the balance (that would go on your credit card...that's the money I thought you meant you wanted to protect from being spent on other things) on the Disney GC. It's just a trick to keep a person from spending money on random other things, when they want to put it towards Disney.

Then just lock the GCs away until it's time to pack!

As I said before, it's all a matter of personal preference. I'd rather get it done and over with now. I hope this can be done!

I spoke with MS this morning, and they said they can only take 2 forms of payment over the phone. So, my plan for the weekend is to go to my local Disney Store and purchase a gift card using the AMEX/Visa gift cards I have. I'll then call back MS and purchase the AP using the Disney gift card and my credit card.

I did this once, and I had to do it in person.

I've only been able to do a multiple payment in person. Online I've been limited to 3 (2 gift cards and a cc for the balance). When I went in person in January I was able to apply 5 gift cards and my rewards card for the balance. I did it at the guest relations window.
